Other Coatings

With a spray gun an electrostatic charge is applied to the powder particles, which are then attracted to the grounded part.  This is when the curing process begins, with the addition of heat, then the coating chemically reacts to produce molecular chains that are extremely resistant to breakdown, and even wear and tear.

The main difference between Powder Coating and Electrostatic painting is that the lattter can be conveniently done on-site, and since it does not required that the powder coat is baked, the treated products are ready for use the next day.

Some of the coatings that we utilize at Steeltech Electropainting, Inc.® include:

  • Kynar – This is the Cadillac of architectural finishes.  It has to be applied in a factory because it has to baked on. The air-dry version of Kynar is called Coraflon, which is manufactured by PPG.
  • Coraflon – Has the same floral polymer resin as Kynar but it has been formulated into an air-dry system.

All of our coatings can be applied to any of type of metals such as:

  • Aluminum
  • Steel

We can also apply them to surfaces such as:

  • Stainless
  • Copper and Brass
